Ecological Problems
Wildfires
Wildfires can be hazardous to this region because of its warm and dry climate. Fires can be started by many things, the most common being humans. This can have a devastating effect on the habitats of animals.
Climate Change
All biomes and areas on Earth are being faced with climate change. It is a threat to many species world wide and can cause serious harm.
Invasive Species
New species of plants have been introduced to the area and can cause damage. Plants like Buffel grass and Rhodes grass and many more can compete with native plants for resources or they can increase the risks of fire by burning better than the local plant life. The fire ant is also not native to the area, and kills off the local ants. It can also hurt animals and their food supply.

Ecology
The Serengeti National Park of Tanzania protects a majority of this particular savanna. So land isn't lost as much in this area. Of course, not all of the animals can be protected, and poachers have been known to hunt some animals.
